Eid (a holy festival of Islam)

Eid is a Holy festival of Islam. There are two Eid in one Islamic year. 1st comes on 1st Shwal known as Eid-ul-Fitrr and 2nd on 10th of Zilhaj known as Eid-ul-Azha according to Islamic calender.
Yesterday in Arab, Europe, US and many other states, there was Eid-ul-Azha (2nd one). And in many like Pakistan today was the 1st day of Eid. As both Eid,ain (plural word for Eid) go on for three days.
The day of Eid starts with the prayer of Eid, which Muslims offer in big grounds/ in big mosques. Then they hug each other and gives Eid wishes. Then there is difference in both Eid,ain. On 1st Eid the Elders give Eidi (cash) to youngers, and on 2nd Eid they do Qurbani (slaughter Animal to follow Ibrahim's (AS) Sunnah.
Though both Eid,ain are full of history and logics behind them. 1st comes just after the end of Ramzan (the month in which Muslims do fasting). And the Eid is a gift from Allah to the Muslims in response of fasting for one month(29/30 days). It does not mean its all, in Islam there is no reward of fast for the sake of Allah, but will be by Allah at the day of judgement. As said in holy Quran "fast is for me and i shall give its reward" (Quran).
In 2nd Eid there is superb history. It belongs to Prophet Ibrahim (AS) (Abraham (PBUH) and Ismail (AS) (Isaac (PBUH). When Allah tested to the faith of Ibrahim (AS) by asking in dream to sacrifice his only Son. Ibrahim and Ismail were succeeded in approving, so Allah sent a sheep to slaughter at the place of the Ismail (AS). So Ibrahim (AS) slaughtered that sheep. To follow that sunnah (the act done by a prophet), Muslims of world do sacrifice one animal (Sheep/ Cow/ Camel). And then they distribute the meat of the animal to their relatives, neighbors and poor peoples of their surroundings.
By doing this, Muslims of world don't send the meat/ blood to Allah but their Taqwa.(purity to obey orders of Allah Almighty with faith). I don't receive the blood of ur sacrifices but ur Taqwa.(Holy Quran)
The day reminds us the sacrifice of Great prophet Ibrahim (AS) & teaches us to do care of others by sacrifice.
May Allah guide us to follow the path given by Him, via His holy prophets. Aamin!
